I've never pretended to be the most eloquent person, because I'm not. So many of my friends are voicing their opinions and concerns in respectful, calm ways and I'm over here in my corner just processing. I know many people are feeling hurt, scared, and alienated by the election results and I hate that. I wish I could fix aching hearts and hug everyone experiencing sadness. Please know that you are loved. People will work hard to make you feel that way.
I will work hard to make you feel that way. Sure I may not always have the right words, but know I'm here for you in whatever capacity I can be. Let's gather together and be here for each other. Love, love, love like there is no other option. xo.
Now, who wants to go get ice cream???
Thanks for this post, Katie! I feel the same way, that I'm needing lots of time to process and go through different waves of emotions, but still want to send support and love and kindness into the world to anybody who needs it. Sending hugs and good vibes!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this post. Many of the blogs I read haven't even made mention of what happened on Tuesday. I felt really alone and scared and it was nice to hear someone else is having feelings about it too. We will get through this if we stick together and never stop standing up for what is right!
ReplyDeleteWe're going through the stages of grief over here... but we're gonna be ok. Thanks for saying something.

ReplyDeleteSending love right back to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie. I agree with this completely. I have seen nothing but hatred spewing out of people since the election and what people aren't realizing, is that it breeds more hatred and ignorance. Let's support standing together as a people. I'm sad and that's okay but love is the answer, not hatred. Thank you for posting this!

ReplyDeleteThank you for being a positive voice in all this craziness. I always say "Love is the answer, no matter the question." I hope all of us who feel sad and frustrated can use our energies to promote positive change in the world. Love to you, Katie
