Snapshots
Here are some fun snapshots from life recently:
**Poesy having a little phone time after swimming in the pool all morning and afternoon. The little fish is so hard get out of the pool.
**A cute cactus for the living room that I really hope not to kill.
**Some of my favorite things in our living room. I got that little baby planter from the Strawberry Swing craft fair during our girls' trip last year. :)
**Google lounging anywhere and EVERYWHERE. He's seriously hilarious.
**Eep! Hope jumping in the pool. Johnny moved our trampoline right next to the pool and the girls have been having the best time ever. (I know, kinda scary!)
**The sweetest wooden succulent painting from my friend, Jenny-- check out her shop Everyday is a Holiday. I want to buy all of it!
**A picture of Poesy melting hearts. Such big love in this one.
I've been super productive this week and I'm feeling really on top of my creative game. Plus, I have an announcement tomorrow, so this week is pretty much A+.
I hope you're having a lovely week as well, friends!

Currently
Here's a little bit of what I've been up to currently:
**Obsessing over-- house projects. Mainly, I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to our back patio and that feels amazing! I haven't gotten one entire space finished in the new house, so I'm jumping for joy at the prospect of being finished with something! I can't wait to share it here in a couple of weeks!
**Listening to-- the new Band of Horses album. It's so good! Also, I didn't think I'd be saying this in 2016, but I'm really digging the new Weezer album. Pinkerton will absolutely always have my heart. Also, I've been making this kind of silly playlist titled "Dad Playlist" on Spotify. It's all the music I like to imagine dads listening to, but also songs that are nostalgic from my childhood. That probably makes me sound a little crazy. Hey, we all have those quirks. ;)
**Planning-- summer trips! Johnny, a few friends, and I are going to be seeing Flight of the Conchords at the beginning of next month. We'll also be traveling out of town to see JR JR in concert later that month! It's a summer of concerts and traveling and boating and I'm looking so forward to it. Also, a friend and I are planning a secret little getaway towards the end of the year and it's going to be AMAZING!
**Enjoying-- the little things about summer. We bought the girls a decent sized above ground pool and it has been great! Poesy has become a brave little fish, and the pool gives Hope a reason to want to hangout with her little sister. Also: watermelon, BBQing, dinners on the porch... all of those small things that make you want to soak it all up-- they have me swooning.
**Creating-- I have several sewing projects going at the moment. I haven't been keeping up with them as quickly as I had hoped because, well... life is busy. Sewing is still a love of mine, though. It's something that allows me to zone out and relax. Other than that, a bunch of gal pals are talking about getting together for one of our craft nights to make macramé plant hangers. I'm all about that!
What has your June been like so far? I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by. Is it just me, or does it continue to go faster and faster?

Poolside Wishlist
1. Bathing Suit // 2. Hat // 3. Sunglasses (Available next week!) // 4. Shoes // 5. Lipstick // 6. Notebooks // 7. Shell Purse // 8. Drink Sleeve
As the weather heats up, I'm finding myself dreaming of all the pretty poolside treats and treasures. I would love to be all fancied up in these lovely things, sipping a light cocktail and jotting down notes and ideas in that flamingo notebook. A girl can dream, eh?

Weekly Wears: Firefly Season
We're officially to that point in the year where fireflies take over the yard at dusk! It's honestly one of the most magical and peaceful scenes to watch Poesy take off around the yard squealing and giggling as she tries to play a game of catch and release with them. Summertime has us on the go a bit more than usual, but I've been trying to be deliberate about being home during the evenings. I want to soak this up as long as I can.
Dress & Purse: vintage; Clogs (which you can't really see): Lotta From Stockholm
**check this clog revamp from the archives
I found this dress on eBay right before we left for Palm Springs and it's definitely a go-to right now. It's comfy and lovely... and sundresses are basically my favorite thing to wear because you don't have to put a ton of thought into layers and separates. I think I just let my lazy show. Oh well... happy Tuesday, friends! xo.

May Garden
Guys! My garden is shaping up quite nicely! We've had a lot of rain this spring, so the plants are happy and perky. Johnny and I finally finished the trellis and the climbers are really going after it. You can peep my first garden post to see where we started. Here is what the garden looked like in May:
I harvested my first bit of lettuce this week! I've never tried lettuce and I'm pumped over how easy it's been so far. My jalapeños and bell peppers are flowering, I have small green tomatoes on my plants, and the broccoli and kale have pretty much doubled in size since planting them. My brussels sprouts are getting really tall and, after hours of separating them, my peas and beans are on the up and up (literally). May was a good month for the garden and I seriously can't wait to see what June brings!

Thrift Date
I had the pleasure of going on a brunch/thrifting date with a very sweet friend this week, and boy-oh-boy was I happy with the treasures I found! I haven't been truly thrifting in quite a while (life is busy, man), so it was nice to take a break and spend some quality time hunting for pretty things in great company.
I scored the blue dress above for $3.50! What?! When I saw it my friend, Bekah, was like, "If you don't buy that, I'm going to be so mad at you!" Okay. Twist my arm. The hair scarves were too pretty to pass up and only $0.50 a piece!
Our living room is full of shelves that need to be filled, so I was delighted to find these lovelies. The tiny swan will most likely live in my bedroom to hold a couple special rings, but the other two were intended for living room display. Sadly, the same day I found that adorable little elephant, I knocked him off the shelf while pulling out a record and broke his whole face off. I'm still planning to try to super glue him back together. We'll see how that goes...
This, right here, was my favorite find of the day. It's really hard to capture the beauty in a photo, but it's a pink and white marble Bakelite jewelry box with pink felt lining on the top shelf. When you open the lid, the drawers open as well. I'm a SUCKER for Bakelite anything, so this was definitely up there on the "most loved" list.
It was accidental, but all of the things I acquired that day seem to coordinate. I don't know if it was a coincidence or if I have a "type"... whatever the case: SWOON.
After a morning of brunching and thrifting, Bekah and I hit the garden center to browse flowers and succulents for our gardens and planters. I mean, you can't really have a cliché girl date without buying plants, right? Just kidding. We both LOVE gardening and plants, so it just made sense.
We decided to split these GORGEOUS Celosia flowers (they are annuals-- YAY!) and, of course, I had to bring home the tiniest, softest cactus for our bedroom.
It was a wonderful day and I'm thankful for friends who help encourage me to take my mind off of responsibilities for a morning. I'm often guilty of getting wrapped up in mom/work life a little too much.
Have you found anything great thrifting lately? I love thrifting treasure stories!
