We've been looking forward to our annual float trip for a couple of months now, and the time has quickly come and gone! The Midwest has had an insane amount of rain this summer, so sadly the river was too high to float this time around. Since our cabin was already booked, we made the most of it with a couple of our best friends, and played tourists in our old town!
We did a little shopping and exploring, and took our pals to the little school where we once got locked in! It's strange how your memories change over time. Johnny and I remembered the elementary looking so much different in our minds.
We finished the night at the little cabin playing board games and telling jokes with some of our very favorite people. I'm so glad we decided not to bail on the trip-- sometimes the unplanned adventures can be the most fun! xo.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a wonderful time! It's so easy to want to say no to things like this; sometimes it's hard dragging yourself up and out to get going, but usually it always pays off to do so!
ReplyDeleteI feel like this is maybe a dumb question but... what's floating? Is it like kayaking? P.S. Your blog is one of my favourites, Katie!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome fun time away. :)
