Snapshots: Around Here Lately

Life has been a little extra scattered over the past week or so.  Last week my computer bit the dust along with all of my photos, so it's been a weird getting work-related things finished up.  I'm happy to report that the super doctor who was fixing my computer saved most of my files and now I'm working on getting my computer back to working order (arranging files, reinstalling programs, etc).  I'm definitely thankful he was able to retrieve so much from my failed hard drive.  Whew.  I had so many projects on that computer that haven't seen the light of day yet.  I was freaking a little.  My new life philosophy: backup, backup, backup.

**Lunch with the gals
**Cotton!
**Sleeping beauty
**Unseasonably warm days

I've got a to-do list a mile long today, but the sun is shining and the week is looking up, so no complaints here!  I hope you have the best day.  xo.

    I decided that my life's motto is backup too once iPhoto dumped all my pictures into oblivion somewhere! Yikes.

    Oh no! This happened to me as well once, but I was able to retrieve stuff from my hard drive. It's a terrible feeling but I'm glad you could recover a lot. :)

    So, so glad you were able to get your files back! That is always such a big fear of mine...we had a computer die when our boys were really little, but thankfully at that time, I was still developing pictures the old school way, so I didn't lose too much. When I worked as a photographer, I became really diligent about backing things up...now that I no longer do that...not so much! Thank you for the reminder - I need to do a back up now! ;)

    I deal with all my photos, RAW and edited, on an external, because I'm so paranoid about losing them! I'd definitely suggest doing that, then you don't have to worry about remembering to back them up as often.
