Snapshots

I love that Poe is old enough to do really start enjoying some crafty things.  It's a fun way to spend time together that isn't playing My Little Pony guys (ugh)  //  We still love these DIY drums from last year-- how was that a year ago already??  //  A custom pup I made for a friend's mama-- getting plush pets to look like the real thing can be tricky, but you can totally see this pup's personality in his soft counterpart  //  Our gingerbread house this year  //  I love how much Hope loves books.  I know I probably sound like a broken record, but it's so special how much she enjoys reading.

As I've been trying to regain a handle on the tidiness of my house (bedroom, mostly), I've been cleaning out my closet.  If you are interested, I'll be putting some more stuff on Swapdom and doing a closet clean-out sale soon!

  1. That little puppy is so cute! And I totally understand the reading thing. My mom raised us to read all. the. time. That's one thing (among many) that I'm so grateful that she did for us. We practically have a library in our home thanks to that wonderful habit.

  2. Aw, I love that she's holding a Nancy Drew book!
Those books were the story of my childhood...I'm still holding onto them for my kids someday
I'm new to your blog so I hadn't seen the drums, but those are truly remarkable.

  8. That is great she loves to read! When I was that age you could always find me with my nose in a book (aka N.I.B., as my mom would say, haha). My favorites were the American Girl series. Not only did they portray strong independent young girls as the main characters, but they also taught me a lot about history!

  9. I love the way you capture memories. When your girls are older, and when they have families, it will be such an adventure to stroll through memory lane as captured in your posts and photos. I love it!

  14. That last picture - I love it! Good for you, momma. I was the same way as a kid. Watch out when she gets older, she may want a bunch of literary themed tattoos - like me. Not that is a bad thing. ;)
