(This was my Halloween outfit before it proceeded to rain buckets. Dress from Exile Vintage and shoes from ELF.)
This weekend was a full one. Hope had her first gymnastics meet of the season, and despite being crazy nervous, she came home with a first place trophy. It's been really neat to watch her determination and confidence grow. She has been setting goals and meeting them, and I've been finding it inspiring for my own life. I sometimes get caught up in making goals and feeling overwhelmed by them, but watching her knocking them out left and right has me motivated to do the same.
I left my "real" camera at home, so this was one of the many occasions where I was thanking my lucky stars for phone cameras. The rest of the photos above are kinda the same deal-- I try to carry my DSLR when I can, but sometimes a little phone snapshot is all you really need.
We have a rule in our house that the Christmas tree can't go up until after October 31st, so I'll be taking down Halloween decorations and maaaayyyyybe putting up some Christmasy ones soon. We'll see how long I can wait! It's making these Christmas ornaments that's getting to me-- in my mind we should have the lights on the house and the tree up already!
Happy Monday, friends!
love, love, love that dress! i am definitely heading over to extra vintage's site asap! great photos, as per.

ReplyDeleteYou look like a doll with that orange dress, Katie! And congratulations to Hope -that's just so terrific!!!
ReplyDeleteMy family always had a rule that the tree could not go up until after Thanksgiving. It always went up the VERY next day. :) Normally I have a hard time waiting, but ever since moving to New Mexico it just doesn't really feel wintery outside. It makes it easier to wait.
