Let's Swap Clothes on Swapdom

You may have been hearing about this little site called Swapdom around the web lately.  It's a really fun concept, and I'm pretty pumped to be a part of it.  Basically, you take a picture of a piece of like- new clothing (or an accessory) that was probably already sitting in your donate/IG flash sale pile and upload it to the site.  Then you browse around the site and find items that you would like to swap for.  It's like trading clothes with your pals, except you get to scope out the good stuff from your home.  On your computer.  (Maybe even) In your bed.  I'm into that.

There.  This probably explains things a little better than I can.  Swapdom arranges the swaps and all you are responsible for is the shipping part.  When you join the site, your first swap is on them, meaning they will cover the shipping costs.  I've uploaded my items and I'm looking forward to my first swap!

Swapdom is still in beta right now, but if you want to join, you can bypass the wait with this link.  I hope you'll join me over there-- I have a huge bag of clothes I was saving for an IG flash sale, but I'll definitely be posting a lot of them over on Swapdom!  Maybe we can swap goodies!

  1. I'm a little confused about the 'like new' -- does that mean they have to still have tags on them, or just be in pristine condition?

    1. Not at all! I think it just means good quality (i.e.: no major rips, stains, etc) I will be listing vintage, too, and those pieces definitely don't have tags!

  3. Yeah, usually when things say "like new" it just means the clothes still need to be in really good condition.

    1. Though we're US only now, we plan to expand in the future. Since you already made an account, you'll get an email from Swapdom when we're ready for swapping in Canada.

  15. I'm in the midst of completing 4 swaps right now. It's buggy (warning!) as it's still in beta, but overall fun. Two of my swaps were delivered to their new homes today, and one will be delivered tomorrow.

At the moment, I think it's sort of a toss-up on whether this is better, or if doing a local resale shop is. I think it really boils down to the shipping cost of some things.
