Weekly Wears: Carry It With You

I knew I'd get a lot of questions about how I wear a dress so short, so I thought I'd just share right here. Whenever I wear something that is even a little questionable, I just stick shorts underneath.  You never know when the wind is going to kick up all crazy or Poesy is going to play a hilarious game of peek-a-boo.  ;)

This week has officially cooled down and has me making plans for fire pit nights and shopping for knee socks.  I don't know if this weather will stick around, but just like the beginning of any new season, I'm all excited and pumped for the change.  I looooove sitting on the porch swing in the evening, curled up under a blanket.  It's the little things.

    I do the same! usually I take an old, ripped pair of pantyhose or leggings and cut them to be thin bicycle short length.

    I had made the mistake of not wearing shorts with a short (and really lightweight) dress while wandering around downtown San Diego for the first time. My arrival was definitely more of a peep show than I would have ever wanted.

    I do the shorts thing too. I've had my share of brisk wind mishaps and I know I have mooned passer by's by mistake. The shorts keep me from getting mistaken for a mooner.

    I know exactly what you mean. Babydoll anything = definitely gonna wear shorts underneath! Some things we should just keep to ourselves, y'know? ;)

    Total short envy happening right now. I do the same thing! Usually spandex shorts are my go-to for under dresses; just a little more comfortable for me. :)

    I love wearing patterned cotton cycling shorts under my dresses! No need to worry about a breeze as you kinda want to show them off anyway haha

    I just picked up a few cute tops at my favorite thrift shop yesterday and they are both alllll most long enough to wear as dresses. I have a cute pair of solid black yoga shorts that I wear underneath tops like these and their perfect! Also I love knee socks for the fall too, I always adore the one's from Free People (even though they can be a little pricey), and Target has some cute ones too around this time of the year too.
