New Makeup Staples

I like to try new products as much as the next gal, but I typically find myself returning to old favorites.  A few new products have made my favorites list semi-recently, so I thought I'd share them all with you!  (You can revisit my favorite makeup products here, if you'd like.)

1.  It's Potent! Eye Cream by Benefit
I love this eye moisturizer for daytime.  I still use the Clinique cream at night, but I find this one is less thick and heavy and goes under makeup a little bit easier for me.

2.  Stila After Glow Lip Color
I love this lip crayon!  I have it in Rave Red and in Party Pink.  The pink is the only wearable "everyday" pink that I've felt comfortable in so far.  The lip color stays put and isn't gummy, so I love it!

3.  Blemish Be Gone by Juice Beauty
This is my new magic weapon!  You just roll on blemishes that are forming and it shrinks/gets rid of them.  I have a weird problem area on my chin from snuggle time/book time with Poe-- when I rest my chin on her little head, it makes my face very unhappy (but it's totally worth it).  This has been almost a miracle product for me.

If you are wondering where I found these, I purchased them all through Birchbox.  Here's my invite code in case any of you are interested in signing up!

Do you have any new makeup products you've been loving long-term?  I always love hearing about the good stuff!

  2. I got a free sample of that eye cream once and haven't strayed since. Love it! For dry skin I highly recommend Booda Butter, although it can be hard to find.

I've been looking for an eye makeup remover recommendation, do you have a favorite?

    1. Beyond just a normal face wipe (my standard for everything) I think Pond's Cold Cream does a good job. Everything comes off right away and the formula is moisturizing, so if you don't rinse afterward it actually helps your skin. Of course you can rinse it off if you just don't like the feeling on your face.

  3. The lip crayon looks great, but I still feel 'stupid' with lippy on!

  4. The stila red crayon sounds like something I would like. I don't really do makeup except for the occasional lip color.

  6. I am in love with all things Stila right now, but especially the Afterglow Lip Color. I have it in Electric Pink (I think it's more neon than Party Pink). It was my go to color absolutely all summer long.

  7. I love Tarte products, especially their mascara. It doesn't flake off and lasts forever! Their blush is fab too and their translucent powder is the best I've found yet. :) Thanks for the post. I might have to get one of those lip crayons!

  8. I have used so many products over the year and have discovered that Witch Hazel works the best for me! I have the same problem area - my chin. But what I love about witch hazel - it's all natural and after a day or two - my blemishes are gone. The only setback - it smells a tad bad. But for $6 you can't beat it.

  12. Benefit always has the wittiest names and cutest packaging! I've been super into the Balm's Mary Lou Manizer. It's a cheek highlight, and always makes me feel extra put-together and pretty even though it takes seconds to apply.

  14. Last November I bought at Target an organics wear mascara, the green one, OMG it's the best mascara EVER!
I live in México and we don't have it here, so it was a great discovery for me :D

  15. I love Birchbox! I've also discovered a lot of new favorite beauty products through them. One of the ones that I've purchased multiple times is the Dr. Jart BB Cream, Black Label. It works great on very fair skin and contains plenty of beneficial antioxidants.
