Stealing Time

This summer we've been visiting new cities, riding in boats, eating lots of pizza, throwing parties, workingworkingworking, having girls night, did I mention pizza (?), making new friends, stealing moments for dates, etc.  All of these things have been so fun and exciting, they really have.  It has truly been one of the busiest and best summers I can remember.  Those rare days when we have nothing going on, I feel like we appreciate those so much more right now.  Downtime has been a little harder to come by, so sitting on the porch, taking walks with the girls, reading books in bed... all of these things feel a little more precious.

Today is Hope's first day back at (home)school.  We are excited to dive back in and even try some new methods and routines this year!  Happy Monday!

  2. Hi Katie, love your outfit. I don't usually wear skirts and I'm curious... doesn't yours lift up?? I walk home from my workplace and if I'm wearing a skirt I'm barely able to carry anything on my hands because I'm afraid I'll show my undies....

    1. Bike shorts are a great solution for that! I have some with lace at the edges & they are my favorites. :)

I always meant to ask and always forget: the older one is your daughter too? You look so young to have such a big girl.

  19. Good luck to both you and Hope on your new year of school!! I totally get the "busy" thing. I used to be so sedentary and a real homebody, but I feel like I just go go go lately! Not a bad thing, but it definitely makes those slow moments more beautiful, huh?

  20. So cute! Sounds like the best summer. I love the dress but everyone in the Modcloth comments says it is really short. I think it looks like a good length on you. Do you mind saying how tall you are?

    1. Hi, Lauren! I'm 5'4 and it is a little bit short (I like short dresses) but you can uncross the straps in the back to lengthen it. :)

    2. Good to know, thank you for replying. I'm 5'7" and I'm ok with short dresses too, so long as nothing falls out! Here's hoping that uncrossing the straps makes it long enough!
