The Rest of Our Weekend

I'm not joking when I describe this past weekend as a whirlwind.  We were going to parties and assembling bouquets in the wee hours of the morning... everything was done with love, and even though we were a little sleepy, it was all worth it.  I stopped carrying my DSLR around with me because everything got a little too busy... and then there was that whole 'being in a wedding' thing.  Here's what I did manage to grab with my phone.  Check out Elsie's post for even more peeks (and way more pictures of the couple).

After the bride and groom shipped off, we had a wind-down day on Sunday.  Brunch, flea markets, thai food, and drinks on the patio... it was a good slow-paced day to soak up the little bit of extra time we got with Rachel.

This weekend was about as close to perfect as a weekend could get.  Also, isn't it so awesome to be able to carry around your phone and still get really decent pictures?  If it weren't for my phone, I would have no record of most of the rehearsal or wedding day!

  2. Wedding weekends sound so crazy! I have only been mildly involved in a few weddings, I have played in a few quartets here and there. But never have I ever been involved in planning or in the wedding party! Sounds fun and exhausting.
    Your girls look so cute:)

  5. The invention of phone cameras is one of my favourites! I really love seeing the pictures of the wedding - you all look so happy and beautiful. Do you mind if I ask what the tattoo on your back says? I've been trying to work it out but I can't quite read it properly with the dress!

  6. Hi Katie. I came across your blog via A Beautiful Mess. Have been reading your blog all day and am inspired by your blog. I've been struggling to get in to the habit of blogging. The thing is, I really like to blog and at the same time, I love to procrastinate. Not a good combination, yea? Anyways, loved this post. Feels so happy to see friends being there for each other. And love your dress for Emma's wedding.

  8. The phone photos turned out great - and its awesome that you were able to catch little moments that would have been missed if you didn't have it with you.

Looks like a fun weekend indeed :)

  16. This looks like so much fun!! I love all the backstage pictures :) I totally need to get a better phone because mine sucks and won't hold very many pictures, and it's so much more convenient when you're in a place that having a DSLR is just impractical!
