Snapshots: Studio

Confession: I've been tanking when it comes to my new year's resolutions.  It happens every year.  It's a thing.  I never started a journal, I've had about 2 dates so far (counting the one happening later this week), and cutting back the sugar?  HA!  What was that even about??  One thing I have invested time in, though, is the one about total studio organization.  Whenever I get a chunk of free time, I tackle a little bit of my studio/bedroom in hopes that one day it will be totally tidy, organized, and worthy of photos.  I'm gonna make this one happen... even if it means actually taking care of those additional coats of paint I've been avoiding.  ;)

  2. Wait, don't you have kiddos? Yes, so, good luck with that organizing, wink! If your littles are like mine, they will play contentedly for an hour but as soon as I begin a project they are somehow right in the middle of it. And, well, that's why I never post pictures of my studio : )

  3. Well, I think you have made a good start with your studio, I love the snapshots. Just keep it going. :) New Year resolutions are more like guidelines, not definite must-do things anyhow. ;)

  5. I totally stopped making resolutions, I make kind of guidelines now so that if I go off course it doesn't really matter!
Now studio time is something I can completely agree with you on, nothing like clearing a great space to get yourself lost in :)

  6. Ah, yes, those resolutions! We are all creatures of habit, so it's hard to make changes in our routine, even if they are in a better direction. I rarely make resolutions, because I'm sort of a rebel when it comes to goals. I don't like when things get set in stone. I think you've made plenty of progress already, and there's still 10 months left of this lovely year!

  8. cutting back on the sugar probably isn't helped by making desserts every week with your girls, but that is time and sugar well spent. spend some more time with Johnny - what matters at the end of the day is the time we have together.

  10. I have that exact same green lamp ... it sat in my great grandmother's house for as long as I could remember, and I never had the heart to part with it. Fun to see another one out there!

Good luck with your resolutions! There's always time to pick them back up!

  12. My studio is currently a mess. For some reason it gets to be a dumping ground. So easy. I need to work on mine soon because it doesnt lend itself to being productive.
