Weekly Wears: Some Things Never Change

Dress: c/o Asian iCandy;  Coat: Tulle;  Tights: Target;  Shoes: c/o Elf;  Tote: c/o Alphabet Bags;  Bow Clip: Dollar Store;  Not Pictured: lacy shorts under my dress for full coverage  ;)

Some things never change, right?  Those happy things from our childhood can end up being extra special as grown ups.  I can remember my favorite night gown as a kid.  It was printed with black Scottie dogs, and I had a plush dog that matched perfectly.  It was my favorite night gown.  I've almost completely blocked out the part about it being super itchy polyester or how it made me so hot at night.  I mostly just remember playing with my stuffed dog and feeling extra awesome every time I wore that dress.  It was special.
 
I'll probably always have a soft spot for those little Scottie Dogs.

    Cute! I had a sweater and scarf with a little scottie dog, and my shirt was very similar to that nightgown! To this day, when I see such things in clothing I always remember that scarf and sweater. It's little things like that which can make a whole day feel a little better.

    My aunt and uncle have always had Scotties - when their beloved 'Scooter' passed away a few years ago they said they were done with pets for good and yet a few months later they had another Scottie, haha. Love the dress and I guess having a fondness for Scotties runs in the family!

    oh, that scottie story reminded me of my own scottie memories. When I was little my older sister gave me a stuffed scottie puppy from her trip to London. I remember holding it and being able to imagine and then feel like it was a real live dog. I loved that stuffed puppy so much.

    I love your dress! So cute! I too am an admirer of scotty dogs. I once had some adorable scotty dog earrings from avon when I was a little girl. They got lost. So sad. And that was over 20 years ago! But after a 4 year search I recently found them on ebay!
