It Was A Very Happy Birthday

My dear friends threw me a little birthday party last night, and I have to say, I was more than touched.  There was a wall of note-cards listing out "31 Things We Love About Katie", as well as a donut tower, and a smorgasbord of all my favorite foods.  I'm so thankful to have such caring, sweet people in my life.  It sure makes a gal feel special!
(That last photo was taken by Elsie.)

We spent the evening laughing and eating (and eating some more).  It was a pretty perfect way to enter this new year.

Also, a HUGE 'thank you' to everyone who sent sweet birthday wishes my way.  You made a great day even better!

    Donut cakes are the best! Out kids have requested them over regular cake a few times now, and they are so much easier than making a dessert from scratch:)
