This weekend I found a beautiful Calder's Circus poster and a neighbor's yard sale. After I brought it home, the girls and I ended up watching YouTube videos of that beautiful circus well into the evening. Calder's Circus is absolutely magical with all of the wire, wood, and cloth animals, and the way Alexander Calder brings them to life. Every-so-often from the other room you could hear "whhhooooaaa!" or dueling giggles from the girls. I love sharing these sorts of things with them.
Wow! How magical! What a lucky find. I love when I find something that leads to search out something new and amazing! Thanks for sharing, I'm off to explore more of Calder's Circus! Luvluv, Sway x
i learned about calder's circus in my sculpting class. I even had the priviledge of seeing some of his work in a local gallery. you have a great find, and i'm so glad i found someone else who appreciates his work :)
OHHHH i love that your girls love this. you are a fab mom. it's SOOO important kids are exposed to this sorta thing that shows your imagination can take you anywhere.
I'm an Art History grad student and I LOVE your blog... so cool to see something like this pop up on it! Any chance of seeing the poster you got? I'm super jealous you found something so cool! Awesome!
