I hope you all had a great weekend! Our Thanksgiving was wonderful-- we ate way too much delicious food (except Poesy, that kid ate NOTHING) and continued our tradition of building gingerbread houses and watching 'Elf'. Getting family photos is always interesting... not only is it almost impossible to have everyone's eyes open at the same time, this year it was CRAZY windy! Poesy is still in a "NO SHOES, NO SOCKS!" phase. Just in time for winter. ;))
We spent "Black Friday" holed up in our house, turning it into a winter wonderland. I never go out on Black Friday-- it's just not my scene. I always love hearing about everyone else's great finds, I just can't muster up the courage to do it myself.
How about you? Did you brave the crowds and do any "Black Friday" shopping? Were there any amazing deals to be had?
Poe just makes the BEST faces!
ReplyDeleteAw, Katie these photos! Your family is so adorable... and it looks like you enjoyed an amazing thanksgiving + I absolutely adore your outfit, so lovely - as always!! xo
ReplyDeletePoesy's face is adorable in that one picture she's pretending to eat. =) I love your perfect Thanksgiving outfit! Cute, roomy, and in the right color scheme. I actually went shopping on Black Friday, but at 10:00 am. Found some deals, but nothing out of this world. I refuse to skip sleep to go shopping.
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving is a holiday I'm always envious of! Everyone has such beautiful photos and great family moments. Not to mention great food ;) You all look lovely and happy as always :) xx

Oh little Poe! She is just toooo cute! We did our Black Friday shopping starting on Thursday around 8:00pm...jumped around to a few stores and ended up at the mall by 11:30. It got real crazy after that. Glad you guys had a great holiday!

oh looks like such a great thanksgiving! Your littles are so cute
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had lots of fun! Are your tights from Target? If so, I think I wore the same ones on Thanksgiving! (see here: http://www.beautyandbows.com/washed/)
ReplyDeleteYour kiddos are too cute, btw! :)
Sounds like a great holiday! Unfortunately, I had to work on Black Friday, but thankfully the crowds weren't too crazy. There's no way I would have gone out otherwise, definitely not my scene either. I'm more of a Cyber Monday kind of shopper ;) Love your tree!

Nope, I was at home cozied up in bed. I have no stomach for Black Friday, something about standing in line to get deals you could just as easily nab online is crazy to me.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE the tree!
Spent my black Friday at home grubbing on leftovers :)
ReplyDeleteI did Black Friday once in my entire life. Waited in line at best Buy at 3am-7am with my sister to buy a laptop that only had a limited quantity. The only reason we got it is because a friend of ours happened to be in line and his friend had gotten one somewhere else that morning so he gave us his. Never again, just not worth it. Spend time with family and friends!
ReplyDeleteOh, that little Poesy! She sounds just like my Caleb...won't eat a bite of anything. It's a wonder he's not skin and bones!
ReplyDeleteIs that a two toned color sparkly tree? And where did you get it? So awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's just a gold tinsel tree. We wrap colored lights on the inside branches and then string the whole tree up with lots of white lights!
DeleteSuch beautiful family moments and traditions!

we have a similar tradition of ringing in christmas after thanksgiving dinner. it's always been one of my favorites :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a lovely holiday!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't go out on black friday either- just too much for me. No deal is great enough to get me out in those crowds or in those lines!
Thank you for letting us take a peek into your family's holiday

ReplyDeletei don't do the black friday scene either. oye. no thank you, panic attack!
ReplyDeleteMy soul isn't brave enough for Black Friday. We did the same thing y'all did - Christmas up the house!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos - I wish we celebrated Thanksgiving here! If we did, I'd be tempted to nick your gingerbread house-making and Elf-watching tradition :)

Oh my god, I didn't know what black friday means, so I googled it and saw some video's on youtube. It looks really scary to me, is this everywhere in america? I would say, close your windows and doors and hide yourself!! Greetz from holland.
ReplyDeleteahh this is so lovely you are a beauty
ReplyDeleteVery cute.
ReplyDeleteI don't ever do black friday stuff. That kinda scares me. I did cyber monday last year, but this year. . .I honestly have absolutely no money for gifts for my kids or husband or anyone. Thankfully I have a job a couple days before Christmas photographing a wedding, so hopefully I can get something (we're making a present for the boys). Your family is gorgeous.
