Beauty From Rubble

Johnny and I have been together for exactly half of my life.  In all of those years, I could probably count the number of times both of our families have been in the same room, at the same time, on my two hands.  As many of you know, my step-dad passed away this year, and though it has been extremely hard on the family, I would like to think that it has ultimately brought us closer.  This year my family will be joining Johnny's family for Thanksgiving.  It makes me so incredibly happy to think about all of these people I love in the same house, enjoying each others' company and bonding.  My step-dad, JR, will definitely be missed, but I do have this something extra to be thankful for.  A new and beautiful relationship is growing.

  3. That's really good to hear. Family is so important. I know since my good friend passed, my friends have been coming together as a family to support each other too. You need that support and love.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Katie. Enjoy it!

  5. I hope you have a good Thanksgiving with the two families together. It sounds like it is going to be really good. It can be extra difficult at holidays remembering someone who has passed away. My dad died the week before Thanksgiving three years ago. Having the support of family always helps.

  21. I love this so much! Scott and I have been married almost three years (haven't know eachother as long as you and your hubby have known eachother) but by the grace of God he is working in our families. Scotts family met Judah for the first time over this Thanksgiving weekend and I couldn't be happier with what He is doing. He is creating a new and lovely relationships that will prayerfully grow and last a lifetime :-) and even beyond! Judah and his cousins are so cute to eachother :-)
