Dress: Handmade (by me!); Jacket: c/o Lulu's; Belt: ModCloth; Boots: c/o Lulu's (similar)
When we were packing up all of our things in preparation for our move several weeks ago, I got really overwhelmed at a point. One of those *many* nights of packing and sorting I decided to sew a dress, because... well, I just needed to. It was a super simple dress made from printed jersey, so I didn't have to bother with finishing edges or anything fancy like that. ;) I basically just sewed a simple dress shape and threw it on. Somehow, that was therapy and I was ready to get back to work. It's funny how that works.
Moral of the story: sometimes a freak-out can yield comfy clothing. (wait... what???)
eee!!! how pretty katie!
ReplyDeleteWe recently moved too and I found myself making all sorts of things. It drove my husband a little mental but moving is chaos and making stuff totally IS therapy! That fabric is super sweet! Lovely x
