Truth be told, I've spent a lot of time in the ol' jammies these last couple of weeks. I've been spending large amounts of time house searching online, working on a bit for a magazine (details to come in the near future), and other general house/life stuff. After weeks like that, sometimes you need to get a little EXTRA dressed up. A little fancy can go a long way. ;)

You may remember this dress from this post.
I really did have fun prancing around in this gorgeous dress. I'm pretty sure I need to throw a garden party when we get our next house... I already have the perfect outfit! ;)
Um, love! Perfect garden party dress. And look.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sure you've answered this somewhere else, but where are your glasses from? They're awesome. Every pair of glasses I've ever had makes me look like I'm still in 4th grade. In 1989.
Don't laugh, but they are from Wal-Mart. My husband used their vision center and I found them while I was waiting for him. Careful, though-- they make the ground look very far away!
DeleteSo beautiful... Your hair, those leaves and let's say it : that beautiful necklace! I wish to make a nice garden party, all dressed up with outstanding pastel dresses, champain and flowers!
ReplyDeletesimple and SO ELEGANT!!!!
ReplyDeletei love the whimsy of these nature shots... nonchalantly beautiful!

ReplyDeleteAlso, that dress is adorable and I know what you mean about a little extra fancy - I wore my bright red, tulle prom dress today for no reason what-so-ever. <3 It was lovely.
Yes! Sometimes you just have to! ;))
DeleteI love everything about this. It's just magical.

Very nice dress. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely!! Did you and the hubby go somewhere for you to show off this gorgeous dress? I am so in love with this. I can just picture the tea party....and it involves lots of furry little woodsy animals coming along for an invite. :)

katie, holy gorgeousness! bring on that garden party. i hadn't remembered that dress, but i most certainly do now. the unique vintage link didn't work. that butterfly necklace is uniquely beautiful, & very decently priced. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Teddi! The link is all fixed up now. :)
Deleteoow. that's a such pretty dress.. ;) Irene Wibowo
ReplyDeleteThat dress is to die for! It looks amazing on you. The link didn't work, but I imagine if it's vintage it's only one-of-a-kind anyhow. You scored big on that dress!
ReplyDeletehttp://bisous.typepad.com/bisous/
All fixed up now! The dress is actually a vintage reproduction, so it isn't one-of-a-kind!
DeleteYou look great! Although I must say that ironing the dress would make it look even better. Just take a damp hand towel and place it over the tulle, then iron over the towel, that way the tulle will be steamed and not damaged. Ta-dah!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip.
DeleteThis is such a beautiful dress and you wear it well.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is super sweet!!!! Aw. Where are the pictures of you prancing though?!? It is nice to see that you wear dresses more than once!!

ReplyDeleteAmazing dress! I want it! But it wouldn't nearly as good with my hair as it does yours. Yours sets it off perfectly.

Et tu, tutu?
I think that you must be the Paradigm that all women want to be. So, so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and feminine dress! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite outfit posts EVER! You look amazing. Have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! You look like a Vintage disney princess with tattoos :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is just perfect on you! I always love those short dresses with full skirts - so fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous creature you are, especially in that dress!
ReplyDeleteKatie,
ReplyDeleteYou look incredible - I absolutely love how the necklace looks on you, thank you so much for wearing it! It goes so beautifully with your hair too (have I ever told you you are my hair style icon?!)
Thanks again, you are such a total doll :)
Zoe xoxo
PS. Would it be okay if I used one or two of these photos on my blog, with links back to this post and to your blog ? Id love to show my readers how awesome you look!
I'm sure you get this question all the time, but what does your tattoo say. As someone once said, never get a tattoo with writing on it unless you're willing to what it means!
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks amazing on you, but all the dresses do!

By far one of my favorites, very whimsical! Serioulsy there is not one piece that I am not giddy over! Your choice of backdrop makes it just that much more magical: A M A Z I N G :)
ReplyDeleteKatie, you look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo, I showed you my first tattoo - the small heart on my wrist... Well last night I had a dream in which I got a tattoo just like yours on my arm - but also drawn by me, so ugly! I know it was a copy of yours cause it had a bird... And while I was getting it done, I was regretting it. It was a horrible dream! I've been thinking (already) about my next tattoo but that dream just teeeerrified me :P
Your tattoos are always an inspiration though. They're soooo beautiful.
I'll let you know when I get my next one :) probably for my 20th birthday next summer!
Your new blogger friend,
Val
DeletePs. Also, the tattoo in my dream was all crooked and with no color :S
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast between the tattoo and the dress!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the butterfly necklace adds just enough quirk and personal touch! Perfect! :D
