Weekly Wears: Fall Preview

The day before these photos were taken I was wearing a sweater with little antlered deer printed all over it.  I was chilly when the wind blew.  I was drinking hot beverages.  I was yearning (YEARNING) for Autumn to hurry up and get here so I could sit on my porch, snuggle up in a blanket, and watch the leaves fall. 

Sadly, Mother Nature realized it's still August and that (amazing) weather is a little crazy for the season.  That just means I have the rest of Summer to enjoy, and Fall to look forward to.  Right?  That's what I'm telling myself, anyway.  We won't talk about the suede cape, long sleeved button up, or cozy sweater I bought at a vintage shop that day.  ;)  My brain was tricked... TRICKED I TELL YOU.

Today we are picking up the keys to the new place and doing some major painting.  I am so, SO excited.  I'll share more about our new home soon.  :)

    Oh my goodness, Katie, this is such a stunning look and you look absolutely beautiful in these photos!! Luckily, for us summer has been pretty mild... so I've had lots of days filled with sweater wearing - ah, but fall sure is magical!! Hope your week is fab! xo

    Is a lovely print, I prefer this in another color, but the blue looks good with your hair color

    Today was the same way for us here! It even smelled like Fall, but somehow I'm doubting that it will stay around. One can hope though! You look gorgeous and congrats on finding a new home!!

    oh my goodness, this dress is gorgeous, those colours and retro print?! perfection! im longing for autumn now, we seemed to have skipped summer in the uk, but its still grey and warm, im looking forward to wooly sweaters and layers! and coloured tights.. i love tights!:)xx

    I'm definitely an autumn girl at heart, too. Your vintage cape sounds absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see the fall wardrobe!

    Oh how I love the fall and winter! I can't wait and have been sewing up a storm of cute collared 3/4 sleeve dresses in lovely browns and mustards, to wear with thights and cardigans...but of course after a nonexistent summer here in San Diego we are getting a heatwave just now :(

    Can't wait to hear more about your new home. You look lovely! And I know exactly what you mean about Autumn. Absolutely cannot wait. The weekend is going to be utterly beautiful here though with temps in the 70's during the day and 60's/50's at night. It is heavenly.
