Weekly Wears: Summer Skin

Some days you just need to throw a pin curl or two in your hair and soak up all the extra special things about life.  Sunshine, summer days, bare legs, warm breezes... all things that I love.  

Dress: c/o Lulu's;  Socks: Target;  Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell- borrowed from Elsie;  Earrings: vintage;  Necklace: UO (forever ago)

I think I get excited at the transition of every season.  There is always a feeling of eager anticipation and endless possibility at the beginning of each change.  Right now I'm starting to look forward to swimming pools, popsicles, and late night bon fires with friends.  Summer, I'm gearing up for you.

    You're 30 years old and a mother. You should be dressing a little bit more sophisticated. Why do you dress like a 5-year old? It looks ridiculous. It's pretty embarrassing and totally age-inappropriate.

    DANG! The only thing ridiculous and inappropriate is @Emma Cottreau's comment!!! Katie I think its terrible that someone who follows your blog would make not one but TWO rude and offensive comments. Isn't it common courtesy to say nothing if you cannot be pleasant!? :(
    Being 30 and a mother doesn't mean you suddenly loose your personal style. You are as young as you feel!!!
    I was going to say how cute this is and how radiant you look...that ugly comment caught my eye and I couldn't leave that alone! How I wish I could pull of socks with shoes! I have that very necklace -I had forgotten I had it. Time to bring that out again! :)
