This April, especially in this easter holiday, I hope to explore more of the eastern side of Germany -- where I live now. April is my birthday month! What I look forward to the most though is a "starting over" time. I have always had a strangeness about months where the first day is a Sunday. It feel like a completely fresh start for me, and the year has been so rough so far. ReplyDeleteApril couldn't come soon enough! I can't wait to see Central Park bloom over here in New York. Saturday picnics with friends at Coney Island, reading in the park, bicycle rides through Brooklyn... so much to do in the sunshine!

What I am most looking forward to in April is finishing my first year of Graduate School, moving back home for the summer and helping my boyfriend finish our lengthy kitchen remodel!

2 years ago, april 1st, my husband and i heard the heartbeat of my son owen for the first time! i was so excited that i announced our pregnancy on fbook immediately. the subsequent comments stating, "oh hahaha very funny" or "good one, kens" reminded me that it was april fools day. its a little joke that stuck with us. so when my husband and i found out i was pregnant in february, we decided to announce it on april fools day again! so thats what i am most excited about in april- announcing to my family and friends that we are expecting our 2nd child on Oct. 21st.

I'm looking forward to spring in general! The warm weather, the flowers, life blooming as if for the first time. It is almost like a little bit of magic the earth gets to experience once a year. Everything is waking up from the winter slum and opening their eyes to a golden world. I want to read (and watch!) things like The Secret Garden and just experience, whole-heartedly, the beauty this earth has to offer. Though ugly things exist, good always finds its way to the surface and spring, for me, illustrates this.

This + all the spring markets opening up in NY, it's definitely going to be a great month!
