Weekly Wears: Favorites

I haven't traded in all of my cardigans just yet, but lately I've been looking for new ways to wear those sleeveless dresses without throwing a cardigan over my shoulders and calling it good.  Don't get me wrong, I still love a good cardigan/dress combo, but for someone who wears dresses almost exclusively, I need to mix it up a little.  Enter: favorite old stripey tshirt.

Dress:  Dahlia (from my friend Emily's shop my closet);  Shirt: vintage;  
Tights: c/o ModCloth;  Shoes c/o Lotta from Stockholm

Let's just talk about my bottom half for a moment.  (<--I know, yikes)  These are my new favorite tights.  Oh yeah... AND my new favorite shoes.  I've been drooling over these for a good while now, so every time I look down I get EXTRA happy.  :)  

What were we talking about?  Oh... right.  Shirt over dress.  This is also very helpful when you are wearing a color that almost matches your shoulders.  I'm pale.  I definitely needed the contrast.  ;)

If you have any other cardigan-free solutions for the cold weather, I'm all ears!

    Adorable! I am also in love with those shoes and tights! Ah! I like to wear a button up (usually chambray) and button it about half way then tie the rest. :) Totally mixes things up.

    I wear cardigans a lot too, so I definitely need to try this :)
    I love those tights!
    I love wearing dresses, but I don't wear them very often cause it's so much wind here, so I need to hold my dress down and that is just not really comfortable if you go for a walk. Do you have this problem too and do you have any tips?

    Those tights are adorable!! I definitely have to shop for new ones! I just don't know if I find such a cute pattern here in Germany. I just started to wear warm jumpers over my dresses in addition to cardis. But it needs to be really cold for that. I have no idea what temperatures you have :)!     You could try layering shirts under your dresses as well, and I'm loving the look of blazers over dresses right now too!

    You have incredible style. Absolutely adorable pictures, you photograph beautifully. I regularly stop by your blog to see your outfits. That red hair works so well with everything it seems.     Well, actually I have some kind of solution but it's not really cardigan-free. Or it is. We'll see. I tried wearing my cardigan under the dress once and it worked out really nice. Of course, instead of cardigan you can also wear long-sleeves shirts or sweaters. The idea is to wear something on the inside of the dress instead of the other way around. Just a thought.
