Here are some of my favorite back-to-school picks:
A smart dress is a must.
Slick heels are sure to make you the teacher's pet.
Intelligent accessories will be the icing on the cake.
A pretty notebook to jot down notes is A+.
As I won't be going back to school, I'll be enjoying my back-to-school shopping as a teacher again this year (homeschool). I'm buckling down and ordering Hope's curriculum this week, because July is almost over and school will be here before you know it! Eeeeep, I can hardly believe it!
Love this post, especially the shoes! I have been meaning to buy some oxfords from that seller, but think I prepfer the t-bar heel ...

ReplyDeleteAll so cute!! I adore that notebook. I had my "first day of full time work" shopping trip at the weekend, and my arms still ache =) x
ReplyDeletei had no idea that you homeschooled Hope! we are considering homeschooling Abby when it comes time (she's only 1 so we still have a little bit of time!) Can you share a post on the resources you use and like best?
ReplyDeletei really like that notebook - it would definitely help taking notes better!
ReplyDeleteI love back to school shopping! I am a teacher, so I still go every year. Those heels just might be perfect too.
ReplyDeleteAnd new pens and pencils of course!
ReplyDeleteWeee! I love back to school shopping. It doesn't end with the school supplies though. As an adult I am still tempted to buy a whole new wardrobe every august/september.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the notebook love. I have so much fun making them. The idea for my notebooks sprang from my own obsession with back to school shopping when I was a kid. So, it's a dream come true now to be able to make them myself and offer them in my shop as an adult.
I didn't realize that you homeschool! Thats great. I homeschool my brood of four. Would love to hear what resources you use.
ReplyDeletehold the phone.. you homeschool? and run this blog..etsy..awesome craftiness world?? You just went up another bazillion notches in my book! Clap clap clap (that's me standing and clapping.. at you).

I also used to love back to school shopping. And, I'll admit that I tend to shop more in the fall as an adult for the sake of nostalgia.
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are my favorite! I love how short the heel is, I bet they are super super comfortable.
ReplyDeleteLove and Turtledoves,

I LOVE that necklace. It's one of my very favorites, because I adore cloudy rainy weather. ♥ And YAY you for homeschooling and doing homeschooling the RIGHT way. ;)
ReplyDeleteI loved loved loved back to school shopping. My grandma would do the same thing - we'd go to the mall and I could pick out one complete outfit, down to the socks and shoes. I still find I have a weakness for cute notebooks, pens, crayons, and other school supplies.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that you homeschool and I'm considering it for my daughter (she's 16 months so I have some time to think about it) - and I would love to hear about your homeschooling adventures. Blog post? Maybe?
school was always my 'safe place' i loved it. Getting ready to back was a fab feeling, i still buy stationary when i'm really low :)
ReplyDeleteHi there! I just discovered your blog! I love it! I also love your pink outfit from the other day! :)
