Rewards.

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon the most gorgeous shoes.  Then I got this:

(I do believe it's valid even with a typo. ;))
And I thought, "Yes... yes, I will..."

So, I bought myself the shoes.  Also, I'm totally and completely smitten.

 Aren't they so pretty?  Aaaahhhhh.

This cat is the reason I never do outfit photos.  She's such an attention hog.

Elsie recently wrote a really good post on work and motivation, and I totally agree that it's good to treat yourself when you've been working hard.  Maybe not always with shoes (<--- that was just for the husband's benefit ;)), but rewarding yourself leaves you feeling accomplished and ready to get back to work.  And, every once in a while, I think everyone is entitled to something a little fancy.  For me, it was the shoes.  They make me feel lovely.  And tall.  ;)

Have a great weekend, friends!  We are getting out of this house to soak up all of the gorgeous weather we can.  xoxo Katie

  1. I am definitely a believer in treating yourself, although I don't always practice what I "preach." But with a little encouragement from my husband, I just bought a super cute dress (it was also on sale, which helped).

On another note, the shoes are super cute :)

  2. Lucky! Its still snowing where I live! I love those shoes and agree with the being taller. I'm only 5"2 and the hubs is 6"4. I like feeling taller. :) I'm glad you got a little something for yourself. :)

  4. Are these comfortable?? They are adorable. I bought the Audrey Ballerina's from Swedish Hasbeens but I had my eyes on these for a pair of Summer shoes.

They look adorable on you, they go with everything and well deserved!

  15. Such pretty shoes, I'm saving up to buy them in green or red! But I was wondering; do they walk okay?
Cause it seems a bit tricky with the wooden sole....Would be great if you could answer me, thanks! :)

  18. Eva: I think they are pretty easy to walk in. The wooden heels don't bother me at all. :)

  24. I totally agree... I use these little rewards (perfume, massage, etc...) as incentives to study more... for every 50 hours I self study, I get a treat.

The shos are cute, enjoy! :)
