Catching Up

I realize I have been MIA as of late.  Life with a newborn (at least, this newborn) means having a dirty house, working until 4am because that's the only time available, lots and lots of house guests (did I mention how messy my house is?), and sitting in the back seat of a Prius- squished between 2 car seats for 3 hours, trying to calm an inconsolable baby on the ride home from mini vacation.  It also means sweet smiles, pretty smells, little coos, and the most heartmelting exchanges between sisters.  Here's a peek at what we've been up to in the past 3 weeks or so:


 There... all caught up.  ;)  I know it hasn't been 3 weeks since I've blogged, but I feel like a lot has happened this month that I haven't talked about.   I have lots more to share (not just photo dump pics), so I promise to be back soon!

    oh katie...i fear this time, and also am so excited for it. At least you're looking really pretty and fresh - and I totally can't tell that you're having late nights. These times fly right?

    You're looking great, are you doing anything to take off the baby weight?

    Such a busy life with two kiddies. Sounds like your little family is adjusting nicely. And what would life be like with a screaming car ride and a messy house once in a while ;)

    Wow, you look fabulous for being up at 4 in the morning! If I was up that late constantly, I would look...well....sick...haha. You are doing awesome! Keep up the good work!!

    Oh my!!! Posey looks just like you! And daddy looks completely smitten. Love the drinks lined up. Too funny. And big sis looks like such a sweet sweet helper. And you!? Amazing. I don't know how you do it...but keep it up! It looks amazing on you....

    i'm right there with you, momma! my Ever is almost 4 months old, i have three other kids, a husband, i'm a writer and i work! whew!

    Thank you so much, everyone. When I signed up to be a homeschooling momma I had no idea I'd be having another little one! Life is funny. ;)

    Jill- on taking off the baby weight... only the subtraction of late night cheese fries (mostly) and the beginning of a restart at the gym. Hoping it will just fly off! *fingers crossed*

    the photo of your daughter holding the baby is so precious. and i am in awe of that babe's lashes! lashes for days!

    your comment about being squished in the backseat with a crying baby for hours brought back memories- we drove back from sxsw last year with a meltdown from chicago to milwaukee. sat with my pinky in his mouth for miles :) the things we do for our babies <3

    Oh my gosh that picture of Poesy (4th pic down) could be a picture of Hope! She's SO like her big sister!
