A Morning Full of Shrinking

Hope and I spent the morning making Shrinky Dinks, and I have to say, watching plastic shrivel is A+++ fun!  We made presents for cousins, necklaces for ourselves, and everything else we could think of!

    Yes! ME! I actually have some in my drawers here and I saw it and almost included it in Hope's package the other day. I wasn't 100% sure, though, so I kept it. Now I know what we can do when you visit next. <3

    Can you believe I have never shrinky dinked? lol. I have heard its really fun and want to try it now. Teach me? :)

    i know becky from strumpets crumpets does and they are so cute! i totally use to when i was little...my brother and i both had some, i think his were g.i joes...i had lots; barbie, my little pony...so many!

    i completely forgot about making things like that. it used to be my favorite and i would make things and give them as gifts to everyone i knew! so much fun! so cute!

    In fact, my cousin is coming over to visit soon, and we plan on playing with air-dry clay and making shrinky-dinks all night!

    I always begged and begged for them, but it was one of those toys my mom thought was pointless so we never got to do more than once. As a grandma, she's probably done it dozens of times. But, it's totally the kind of thing I don't let my kid do. His preschool was really into those fuse beads and we have an entire shoe box full of fuse bead 'things' he made we don't know what to do with.

    Oh my goodess, we love to shrinky dink around here! We make all kinds of necklaces. I did a pair of funky rollerskates recently. I may have to do this tommorrow now!

    I never have! How do I do it or where do I acquire them? My hubby used to do it when he was little. FOTC earrings are awesome!

    I found some Hello Kitty ones at Michaels for $2 and I forgot how much I loved watching them shrink! Where did you get the plastic?

    aww! i totally remember making shrinky dink smurfs with my mom when i was little! maybe i'll get to do some shrinky- dinking myself if i find a cute little buddy to do it with!
