So, if you were to come to my town you would see a big, red, sparkly barn. Back before I can remember, it used to be the town hotel. Now it's a place called Ozarkland, where they peddle weird porcelain dolls and loads of bric-a-brac. We decided to stop in for a spell on Saturday, and I have to say, Hope found it to be quite magical.
We were so excited about the saltwater taffy... turns out it's like 2 years old and hard as a rock!
She was not happy about this picture.
Hee hee... tiny hats!
And, look! I wore jeans!
Haha... all in all, it was a pretty decent Saturday. Did you do anything fun? I'd love to hear!
xoxo Katie

BuenoBueno: I know, right?! When we were growing up our babysitter would spank us if we "broke wind." And, if we would ever have said fart we would've been stone cold dead! So, my brother and I can't help but think it's hilarious, and Johnny... well, Johnny is the guy who finds the busiest part of the store, crouches down so no one can see him, and makes great use of the Dr. Fart. ;))
ReplyDeleteI love that pic of Hope and the porcelain doll. She's so much cooler than me. I would have been so excited about that doll when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteomg. i just found you- and i'm in love! i mean that in thee most un-creepy way. haha.
ReplyDeleteYOUR HAIR IS AMAZING. i will be taking it to my hair lady to hopefully end up with something like yours.
i most definitely will be keeping up with your blog
you're precious!
Looks like you and you family had a real fab time!
ReplyDeleteI spent my weekend doing my first ever load of high school homework!
i think i would find this place magical too! my sunday was delightfully spent having lunch at the city farm and then trying on dresses in my favourite vintage store in london :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I've been by those Ozark stores plenty but never stopped in. I had a feeling I already knew what I was in store for! Thanks for sharing your awesome weekend trip. ^_^
ReplyDeletemy aunt and uncle live in camdenton and the minute i saw that sparkly barn i was taken back to childhood visits to the lake :)
ReplyDeletehave you ever seen/gone to the bar called the "glory hole"? i found it for the first time during my last visit home to MO - i did not go in though. oh, missouri, how funny you are! :)
haha I live in the Ozarks as well and have only been inside Ozarkland once! I was enthralled by the square dance outfits there and hideously frightened by a paperweight --taratulla preserved in resin.
ReplyDeletei love your photos of the day. so fun! and you look adorable in your jeans :)
ReplyDeletemy saturday was lovely. my husband and son were gone all day. i had the house to myself (rarely happens)...i watched old movies and crafted my head off. yay!
xo
I think I have been there as well. I went to college in Springfield, and I'm almost positive I ventured past Ozarkland on my way to and fro home. I worked on some new embroidery pieces over the weekend, and rested.
ReplyDeleteOzarkland is one of the best places to take silly pictures. I have so many from our last trip to Branson. I even have one of my cousin next to that terrifying doll only in our photo the doll is choking her. Ha!!
ReplyDeleteomgosh i have not been to the ozarks since i was a kid! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat store actually looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend was one of my best friends' birthdays and my husband's birthday. Needless to say I ate a lot of delicious, but not necessarily healthy food.
Sunday I cleaned up around the house and watched Muppet Show DVDs.
All in all, great weekend!
xo
I was snowed in all weekend! So of course I made some scones, curled up with some tea and made some jewelry :)
ReplyDeleteThis place looks so cute lol
