So, I made this comment on Twitter last night about Music Mondays (if you were on, I'm sure you saw it) not being the most fantastic for me, and I had no idea what was coming after that! So many of you assured me of how much you love Music Mondays and begged me not to quit, and I realized that when I don't see comments I just assume no one is reading or no one likes, but it seems to be untrue. I need to have more confidence in blogging and just be willing to believe people are there, whether I can see them or not. ;)) All that said, I WILL still be doing it, at least for a time. Hopefully that is a good thing. :)
Isn't my girl lovely? She had a bit of customization yesterday, and now I'm so in love with her.
Anyway, have a super night. My agenda: finish hedgehog, custom giraffe, 2 owls, and another snail. We'll see how it goes. ;) *loves*Katie
Aw...well I'm glad you're keeping music monday! I had never heard of Bowerbirds before you posted about them & now I'm in love!
ReplyDelete& your new girl is the cutest!
Keep the confidence...I'm positive you have ton's of loyal readers!
xoxo
Aubrey. i like that name. she looks like an Aubrey.
ReplyDeleteI think that Music Monday's are fantastic :) Thanks for sharing all your faves. I am enjoying listening and definitely going to add some new music to my collection. Really appreciate the tips. Also wanted to say that my husband got me one of your adorable owls for Valentine's Day and I absolutely loooooove him!!!! Will def take him with me the next time we hit the bowling alley :)
ReplyDeleteI think Luna would be a lovely name for your pretty new Blythe! It's my baby daughter's name, and I know she wouldn't mind if you wanted to share. xo
ReplyDeletep.s. I look forward to your music mondays each week.
name her esme or nara.
ReplyDeleteEleanor, Penelope, Petunia, Loretta
ReplyDeleteI like old fashioned names :)

ReplyDeletei too am super glad you're keeping music mondays. i love coconut records and this new band you posted yesterday is awesome. i love music like andrew bird, grizzly bear, bon iver..., so this new band was a major treat to my ears. keep up the great work!
ReplyDeletegloria.
ReplyDeleteor barb--my boyfriend's mom's name is barbra and she has red hair too. so, i had to throw it in :).
and, i was going to comment thanking you for telling me about bowerbirds. am loving them :).
I actually went and bought two Bowerbirds albums off itunes this morning. Had never heard of them, but LOVE what I've heard so far. I know Becca Shuler we became friends a few years ago when we had a class together...and we used to talk music all the time...so I knew that any friend of Becca's would have good taste! I am a regular reader, I just forget to comment because I usually read at work via my google reader.
ReplyDeleteI do love Music Mondays also!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your new doll, I instantly thought of the name, Seraphina. It's derived from the boy name, Seraphim which means "fiery ones"!
I am a loyal reader. You are a great blogger, you are bookmarked at the top of my macbook and I enjoy all that you write. Keep up the confidence!!
ReplyDeleteI think your lovely blythe looks like Elle.
I love painting my nails yellow - she would suit Murial (hehe).
ReplyDeleteI agree with the second comment! I didn't have a name suggestion., but she does looks like an Aubrey. I like the Music Monday posts too. I also think if it something your passionate about I say keep on keeping on! ;)
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way...love the Monday's...not so into Tuesday's!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say that I just started following you blog, and I know you get a lot of traffic on it. Somehow it is really comforting to know that a big time blogger like yourself still has doubts about their posts when they don't get any comments.
ReplyDeleteOn the music monday's...IT ROCKS!! Glad to hear it will stay around for awhile.
I didn't know that you were thinking about quitting the whole Music Monday feature. I don't have a twitter because I'm cool (uncool to others) like that.
ReplyDeleteBut I know what you mean about not receiving comments and doubting yourself. I never get comments on my blog, and I ask myself if I really need to keep going with it.
Your Blythe doll is adorable, and she does need an adorable name. One name I think is cute is Lidia Jean, which is actually a name of a girl I work with (she would find this creepy), but it might suit your baby girl. Or maybe Ophelia? I adore that name.
One of my blogger friends has a little daughter named Ellerie. Such a cute name--unique without sounding totally made up.
ReplyDeleteshes so cute!!!
ReplyDeletedefinitely here and most definitely reading. :) we all feel like that, i'm sure of it.
ReplyDeleteas for a name for her, i like the sound of Basil. *shrugs* maybe too much but I think it's cute and feminine. ciao for now you lovely lady!
i check your blog multiple times a day just waiting for new posts! I love it so much! and i think you should name her ashton.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog <3 <3 I think you should name her:
ReplyDelete*Ash, Ashby, or Ashton
*Autumn
*Brandylyn

*Nelly
*Britin
*Quincy

jes
How about Olive. I've always loved that name. :)
ReplyDeletei agree with sleepy king. i think she needs an old-fashioned name. those are the names i always think of being "different without trying too hard".
ReplyDeletemy first thought was clementine. she's totally a clementine to me.
Well, My first thought was she looked like an alice, but with all the alice in wonderland stuff, that would not be cool.
ReplyDeleteso I thought red head, little red riding hood....RYDER...Not bad not great..hmmm
my son who'd a name kinda kid, said "Corpi"
Never was really into dolls, except Barbie, but I LOVE this one! Her hair is adorable!
ReplyDeleteher hair makes her look a lot like you. you should make a matching outfit for her. name her katie.
ReplyDeleteCherry like Cherry Valance in The Outsiders?
ReplyDeleteNaming girls after flowers is always suiting too. c:

I love reading all of your updates. I'm always checking for new inspiration from here!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Music Mondays are hanging around!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever commented before(?) BUT I check your blog a few times a day. I try to justify this because of the time difference between the US and Australia. I check just in case you've added something while I was asleep...or at work...or just because I'm addicted... I bet there are heaps of lurkers just like me so never let a lack of comments bother you!
ReplyDeleteI find your blog to be incredibly inspiring. You really have no idea… Stumbling across Skunkboy was what inspired me to try to learn how to sew… Not that I could ever be a quarter talented as you. I enjoy your posts and look forward to them!
ReplyDeletep.s. Didn’t even know about Coconut Records ‘til your post last Monday… Can’t get enough now…thnx :)
Katie!!..I love music Mondays!!..i always love getting to know new music!!!...and I love the name you picked for your blythe...that's what i want to name my daughter if I have one!!...i totally feel what you are saying about the non-comment thing though...I've often thought of deleting mine because i feel no one really reads it,,,but i look at your blog everyday..i love reading about your adventures and your cute outfits!! and your wonderful creations!!..your awesome!! :D
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you're gonna keep up with music monday, I always looove what you recommend! Too bad there isn't a feature on blogger that makes it possible for people just to click 'like' under a post, I mean sometimes you just don't have anything fun to write even though you're excited over the update.
ReplyDeleteHope you'll be having an even greater wednesday!
Olive is a beautiful and perfect name for your CUTE blythe doll. i swoon! i want one so so bad...almost as bad as i want a skunkboy owl :)
ReplyDeleteWow talk about being insecure that no one is reading you! I get no comments at all in my blog and I know people are visiting cause I can see it from the counter.
ReplyDeleteOlive is adorable!
ReplyDeleteOlive is adorable! And I love how it looks like your tchotkes are spelling 'Look' behind her in that 1st pic :) I totally know what you mean about Tuesdays. Mondays I always feel super productive, Tuesdays I always get a little down :/ I *love* your little creatures and music and pictures of your incredible style but often neglect to comment. Forgive us! :D
