Sick Days Are the Best Days

Hope is home sick today. It's actually been wonderful, because while I work, she reads me books. I love that. Her voice is the cutest, and she reads at an incredible level, so hearing giant words coming from a munchkin is adorable. Here is a little of what I've been up to:

Ornaments! You already knew about the first batch of owls, but now they are complete! I'll be shopping for a small Christmas tree (sheesh, so early) today to hold all of my little friends. I've also been working on my next batch. Penguins!

As you can see, I have more hats and poms to make. They look so funny without them. Hee hee... giant heads...

And this is what I've been doing in my spare time (HA!). I've been cutting the sleeves off of my old sweaters and stitching the tops to turn them into legwarmers. These are super cute with dresses, and very functional. I love having toasty warm legs! :) Happy Thursday! <3 Katie P.S. My sweet friend Erin has opened up an Etsy shop. Please stop by and take look at all of her photos. :)

  3. Youre going to do wonderfully at the show - the penguins are adorable, Im partial to the narwhals myself, and the owls with their scarves just hoot happy holidays! Ive been thinking of cutting of the sleeves from an old sweater to make into arm warmers actually, make a hole for a thumb and winter nights typing get cozier. Also caught a video on turning a sweater into a bolero, really simple.
Cant wait to hear how well you made out with your treasures!

  8. I had to go find a little tree for a craft fair I am doing to!! I ended up buying three little ones at Borders of all places, because I couldn't find them anywhere else. I think they might be too small for your ornaments, but if you get desperate, that is an unlikely place to look :)
