Tidbits

I'm about to run out the door right now, but I'd thought I would go ahead and drop by instead of doing it later and run the risk of getting sucked into the computer. I hope you all are having a lovely week. Mine has been strange and stressful, but somehow exactly what I've been needing. I'm very guilty of easily getting cabin fever, but since the weather has become much cooler, I find myself appreciating my time at home and even getting to squeeze in a few "just for fun" crafts. Here's where I spent most of my afternoon today:

Yep, nowhere special, just my darkish living room. I sat in the floor listening to records, and did some finger weaving and made some more poms for an autumn garland I'm working on. It was delightful. Here's a sneak peek at something else I'm working on:

I should have it finished tomorrow. I'm sure you can figure out what it is, but I think it's going to be just darling once finished. My friend Tara came over last night. I showed her my owl mugs last week, and guess what she brought me! These:

Now I have a very complete set! If you know of more pieces, don't share-- I don't think my counter can hold any more! :D One more tidbit and then I must go, Hope is going to be Coraline for Halloween and we CANNOT find a regular yellow raincoat anywhere (for less than $80, anyway). If you have one that I can buy from you or borrow, I will pay all shipping costs. Email me or leave a comment if you can help. Thanks, my dearest lovely friends. I'll be seeing you tomorrow. :) xoxo Katie xoxo

  1. I love the banners over your windows - theyre very Modish (I travel to modish from your site M-F using your link). Finger weaving...youve mentioned it before and Im intrigued (I crochet but carrying stuff around doesnt always pan out to using them) how do you do it and what can you make that way? I taught my girls finger crocheting when they were younger, is it similar?
