It's a Giveaway. Read Up.

The thing about an aesthetically updated blog is that you really want to pop in and see it lots and lots. Which is fine, but I guess rather than visiting my own blog over and over I should actually post something. Here I am.


I've been thinking about my Skunkboy Love thingie, and as much as I love it, I feel like I'm missing out on the excitement of people winning a contest and feeling delightful. I don't really want to do the random giveaway thing, because I'm sort of already doing that, so I've been brainstorming. This isn't a completely thought-out, cohesive idea yet, because I keep getting distracted by the other billion things going on, but here's what I propose:

I'd like to pick a winner in two weeks. Here's what you must do: recommend a song in the comment section. Out of all the songs that people submit, after a couple of weeks the one I'm feeling the most gets the prize. I know, this is a little dorky, but you can be a winner and I get exposed to some new music. Sounds like fun to me. :D



Isn't she so pretty? I'm buying her as soon as I have $$$. I'm kinda really thinking of getting little heart tattoos on my elbows. Can I just be her? P.S. I love the Pepperminte shop.

    I have been listening to Meaghan Smith's cover of "Here Comes Your Man" from the 500 Days Of Summer soundtrack a lot lately. I hope you like it too!

    The song I'm listening to right now is You Told Me by Endora. They're a local band (I'm in Perth, Western Australia) and my bestie is engaged to the drummer, but I swear I'm not biased!! :D
    They have an EP but it's not on iTunes so you'll need to go listen at their myspace http://www.myspace.com/myendora
    The song is long, but it's a major builder, so definitely worth listening all the way through. Hope you like!!

    Here's a song that's really light and peppy that always makes me happy whenever I'm down...and it's pretty catchy too~! AND it's about vegtable juice~! It's called "Po pi Po" XD

    I have been listening to Calexico quite a bit lately, "Alone Again Or" has such a great southwestern vibe to it.... I hope you like it too, even if it's not your favoritest!

    I'd like to recommend "Tables and Chairs" by Andrew Bird. It's from the album "The Mysterious Production of Eggs" which is all around and awesome album. It's also amazingly illustrated by Jay Ryan.

    i just looked at your favorite music list in the sidebar of the blog & so many of your favorites are my favorites (namely - cat power, death cab, fleet foxes, iron & wine, ray lamontagne, ryan adams, neil young & ESPECIALLY jenny lewis & the black keys [i also love dan auerbach's solo stuff]) so that instantly cuts songs by any of them out, because you already know them... so..... hmmmm....

    i'll go with any song by deer tick (especially - "ashamed", "these old shoes", "spend the night", "friday xiii" or "baltimore blues no. 1")
