I had to think about it, but now I'm ready. "Drumming Song" by Florence and the Machine.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your generous giveaway. Love your work. I always have some Lucinda Williams (I can't let go) or Grace Potter and The Nocturnals (Treat me right) on my playlist. Can't wait to see what everybody comes up with, I love discovering new sounds.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great giveaway! I love the idea of sharing new music with others. I would recommend Ben Kenney's "Comfort". (It may be hard to find, so if you have no other way of listening to it, you can find it on his facebook page.)
ReplyDeleteLove the new look on your blog! Reminds me of Autumn. And, I'm glad I was able to help!
ReplyDelete*How about "Dancing" by Elisa. Love that one.
I've been listening to this album a lot http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Was-Night-Various-Artists/dp/B001KVW574
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to choose one song but if i have tooooo, i really like Inspiration Information :D

Two Birds by Regina Spektor
Tough to choose just one...how about 'Dog House Music' by Seasick Steve, played on a 2 string guitar & awesome.
ReplyDeleteOkay, what about...
ReplyDelete"Fun, fun, fun" by the Beach Boys
Oh, that's such an adorable giveaway...
ReplyDeleteI really, really wish I could make it!
And I really love to suggest you those great musicians:
" O Grande Encontro ".
This is a coalition of four fantastic Brazilian singers:
Alceu Valença / Elba Ramalho / Geraldo Azevedo / Zé Ramalho
They are just awesome!!
Especially songs like:
" Dia branco "...
But nearly all of the others are just wonderful, as well!
And so different!
Go and have it a try.
It's really worth it!
I'm sure you'll find something you really like.
And,
just to mention it:
I relly love those sugar-sweet creatures you are making!
They are awesome.

ReplyDeleteSo cute! I just stumbled across your Etsy shop, and I'm swooning over your penguin. As far as a song...it's the perfect time of year for Nat King Cole's " 'Tis Autumn".

ReplyDeleteBack to the comp...
*Cool and Funky- Belle and Sebastian, "Your Cover's Blown" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNCCmyHdWa4
*Neat and amazing piece of Australian music, Gotye "Hearts a Mess" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnXFJOXvL_A&feature=fvst
*For a nostalgic feel, M83 "Kim and Jessie" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9yvItZAjfY&feature=fvst
*Beautiful musician that is Nick Cave, "The Ship Song" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKlaV-9Vzsk
*One that pulls at my heart strings for some reason -Suede's "A New Morning" Although I can not find it on Youtube unfortunately. Suede is one of my favourite bands, I also heart the sweet songs "Saturday Night" and "Trash." I don't know anyone else other than my husband and I who know of or love Suede, but I am just putting them out there should anyone else want to listen.
Pssst... Nick Cave and PJ Harvey- "Henry Lee" is also cool, but Youtube is not so friendly there either. LOL.
Keep on creating your lovely and delightful darlings, they are beyond fantastic!
Have fun listening to all these songs recommended to you from your lovely readers! (I am also looking some up).
My word verification - "Faddrowsy." HAHAHA.
"A Little Time" by Beautiful South never fails to make me smile.

God Doesn't Laugh by Regina Spector...love it! Very deep & thought provoking like your wise little owl :)
ReplyDeletemy favorite...especially if I were enjoying fall along with you is...summer skin by death cab for cutie. it is so similar to my childhood, and then growing older... but it's no fair to pick that because I know how much you like death cab.
ReplyDeleteso i also like celebration guns by stars (it's about guantanamo bay, but put all that aside, and I really like the line "and the next day how will you know your enemy by their color or your fear")
BUT I just downloaded We Will Walk Through Walls by Electric President (stupid reason: I thought it said "these tiny fists CAN change the world" and i like that being pregnant and all...dumb I know)
so there. love you. can't believe hope is getting bigger and biger. i guess it's how it happens.
"Everything Must Find It's Place" by Sleeperstar.

They're a really great emerging band from Dallas. This song is good for putting on big headphones, closing your eyes, and forgetting the world. It's like being wrapped in a blanket of music.
I lovelovelove your store (and Madam Owl is absolutely beautiful), I am always checking back for new cuties! I hope you've found some great new music!
Chelle
